The Ripples, Inhabituation: 2017 Media Arts and Technology End of Year Show, UCSB, 2017 May 20th
The Ripples is an generative art piece inspired by the geometry and texture of the rocks in Antelope Canyon. With sun light shine through the dim canyon in different angles at different moments of the day, vivid color and subtle shades keeps changing over and over on the rock. It used linear integral convolution to mimic those fascinating, endless curves carved on the rock by nature. I used noise to create various color , trying to achieve the similar effect.
